The destiny of someone with the same age and intelligence like you and me living in Damascus may just been decided today in some big and prestigious room in New York City. As experts have professed, China and Russia voted against a UN.Cancel resolution condemning the Syrian regime for continuing violation and abuse on its own people.
This rises serious questions about the functionality of the U.N security cancel. Why can something that have been created more than 40 years ago still the same? Is there any thing that can be done to change the positions of big countries in such big decision-making?
It is a political game where there will be losers and winners. As we know, the Syrian revolution has cost southends of death now. And of course, every revolution must have sacrifices. But I fear the person with the same right, potential, age, intelligence, value and hope like me and you may just lose his life next month in the protests. This guy may be the loser of this political games.
I am curious about what is going to happen. I am curious what will be important for China, U.S.A and Russia. Is it a moral and ethical choice that will take over impunity, rage, own interest and polical will? What does really matter in such difficult things: Making polical choices that can be painful for you on a short term but expects to build a sustainable relationship in the future? Misters Poeting, Obama and Hu Jintao must answer to that question when it comes to syria. It is now or never.
